The 8 years I spent in the Army taught me to enjoy walking. During the day, the night, under the sun or the rain, in front of beautiful landscapes or through ordinary places. The regular rhythm of the feet hurting the ground combined with the endorphins generated by the pain made me enter in a very relaxed state. In avoiding thinking to the painful feet, the thoughts evades themselves in a kind of natural meditation.

I still like walking and don’t hesitate to walk 3 kilometres between a metro station and my office, whatever the weather. I need this feeling of progressing by my own forces through my environment. I need also these moments of solitude when the thoughts can freely escape to unexpected worlds.
